My blog is inspired by juggling all of my roles in life and sharing my thoughts. Occasionally I'll share some poetry that find inspirational for I am an aspiring writer and always look forward to meeting other writers. Currently I am working on Children's stories.

Reconnecting with Family
In this day in age there is so much technology. There is the social media, internet, video games, and tv. This technology tends to get addicting to some. Sometimes one tends to get lost. My goal this holiday season in to reconnect with my family. Ok, so we live in the same house. But being in the same house sometimes is not enough. Also, that does not actually mean that we are spending time together just because we are home at the same time. I could be in the kitchen or on the internet, my husband watching tv, and my daughter in her room watching tv. This holiday season we are taking a few days to go to a cabin at a state park. No internet, no tv, no distractions. Time to talk, catch up with each other aspirations and goals in life. The cabin we are renting is beautiful. We have been there before, 2 yrs ago. It felt like a relief to get away from the city and from any traffic. No neighbors. My brother in law and his family had joined us. It was the first time my nephew ever had a smore. No child should not know what a smore is. I took my daughter and nephew on a mini hike to look at the trees, squirrels, birds, and enjoy the view of the nearby lake. This go around I plan to also use some quiet time to continue working on my latest book. I'm taking my time with it, I want it to be at its best. Family is everything to me along with it's unity. To work together. I hope it snows. To sit by the fireplace, with a cup of wine, the kids running around the cabin, and enjoying good conversation. Not texting. Good Conversation.
